Christmas Fun

I like to make these caramel and chocolate dipped pretzel sticks for our neighbors. They're super easy and they're so yummy! You can either buy your caramel and melt it, or make your own. Pick a good milk and/or white chocolate for melting (i.e. the kind you buy at a craft store). Dip the pretzel stick in the caramel first, then dip it in the chocolate. After you've dipped, you can roll it in any number of toppings (i.e. nuts, coconut, candy cane dust, mini chocolate chips, or you can drizzle another color of chocolate on top). Place your pretzel on wax paper and chill until set. I like to tie the pretzels in a cute ribbon at the bottom and put them in a festive see through plastic baggie. We're going to try this next Monday with Noah's cousin. The idea for this gingerbread train is from Family Fun Magazine and you can find instructions and templates here. For those of you unfamiliar with Family Fun magazine, I highly recommend it if you have kids--they have some of the best ideas for crafts and kid friendly fun.
