We took the Mistress to the dunes this past weekend--even my baby brother Mish (aka Michael) came along which made my kids even more excited. We camped out (Gabby, Oliver and I ended up in the car at 4:30 AM because it was so cold and apparently I'm a wimp--the mistress had no trouble being out in the cold). I was pretty tired, but suddenly Gabby became quite chatty, although I have little recollection of what she said at 4:30 in the morning.
Alex was just happy to play baseball . . . kind of.
And then the mistress died just like that--right in the middle of all of the fun. Noah's now thinking about leaving her in Utah and picking up another one in Indiana.
Noah's two cents: We had a lot of fun and rode the sand rail ("the mistress") for a few hours. One of the oil lines shook free from its routing path (now you know it's Noah saying this and not Kaila). It ended up touching the exhaust pipe which melted a hole through it. Now it's making awful noises.

Good luck reviving the Mistress. Some of us still want to take her for a ride.
It looks like you guys had fun. Dan was mad at me that we couldn't go. But we definetly need to find a time we can get together before you leave.
It seems you guys have had a lot of bad luck with that thing!
I'll have to get Spencer to interpret Noah's comment for me. It's greek to me.
Sleeping the car b/c it's friggin' freezing is something I can understand and relate to, however.
The Mistress is dead! What a sad day. I had a whirl of a ride with her-it was a lot of fun!
I don't think you are a wimp for sleeping in the car-just smart.
