We started the day out at Target where I got the kid's pictures taken (I'm milking that Anastasia dress for everything it's worth after all the effort I put in it). Following pictures, we rushed Gabby to school, at 1:15 she was in her school parade. After school was out, we went and saw Aunt Bridgette (below) who works at American Family Insurance.
We probably could have ended the whole event after our visit to Bridgett's work. Note to self: insurance agencies have LOADS of candy, regardless of holidays and are very willing to dump their load on your kids.
Following the successful stop at American Family Insurance, we made our way to the mall for indoor trick-or-treating (I've taken Gabby there just about every year since she was born because it's warm, and there are so many kids which makes it really fun).
We then visited Grandma Maggie, following which we hit our neighborhood streets. Noah took the kids out first and hit the jack pot by jumping in on another ward's (not ours) trunk-or-treats.
When the evening came to a close, the kids were unable to fit all of their candy in our largest pot. I had Noah take it to work today and only leave a few items for the kids so they wouldn't go into sugar shock.

It sounds like you guys had a killer halloween and lots of fun! I can't wait until my little girl is old enough to go trick or treating.
p.s. your kids are so cute!
WOW! You made Gabby's costume right!?! It is SOOOOO Adorable! You are amazing! Alex is quite the little charmer too. Sounds like you guys know where to trick or treat!
Wow is right! I am so impressed. That costume is really amazing! Good job!!
I'm sure Gabby was in princess paradise . . . almost as cool as my princess fairy wings when we were seven... (:
I think boys are a bit easier in the Halloween department - Henry was Charlie Brown. He already had the haircut down pat, so all I had to do was make the shirt. I fear the day he asks to be a princess.
Awesome job!! Once again, you have proven yourself to be a parental unit capable of super powers.
You gave all that candy to NOAH!?!?! Weren't you worried about his sugar overload?!?
The Anastasia outfit turned out gorgeous. They both look darling. (someday Alex will not be happy about that description. Tough, little guy! You are darling.)
I am very impressed with Gabby's outfit! You did a great job! Both the kids look cute and it's no wonder they got lots of candy!!
That sounds like such a Noah thing to do, hitting up other wards' "Trunk or Treats". The kids look adorable. Good job on the costume Kaila!
But wait...what is Aunt Bridgett dressed up as?? I don't get it.
I think she's supposed to be an insurrance salesman or something--who knows, ask her.
I was dressed as an American Family marketing specialist, thank you very much.
Great job on the costume Kaila! Your kids are adorable. Good idea sending all the candy with Noah. Ashlyn also got a ton of candy, most of which she got from Brian's work so I can't really send it back, can I?
